My Evening with James Patterson

If you’re a fan of the written word, you’ve almost certainly heard of James Patterson. You’ve probably even read some of his books. I certainly have. He’s one of my favorite authors and his books have undoubtedly influenced my own writing. Well, last week, I got a chance to meet my idol in person! Here are some pics!

An amazing event! James Patterson’s generosity was on display! He donated hundreds of books, hours of his time, and a number of scholarships for the university!

As you can probably tell from his writing, he has a great sense of humor!

I asked James Patterson if he was looking for a new writing partner. This was my reaction to his response.

It was a genuine thrill to meet him. He LOVES what he does, and even writes seven days a week. He also has a real passion for getting kids into reading, which is why he’s been writing young adult and kids books.

I came home from this event inspired. Inspired to create more, write more, and give more. Since that time, I’ve been working diligently on book #3 as book #2 goes through final editing.
